(CMCYC) Holiday Concert Rehearsals
Starting on August 20th, 2026 rehearsals will be held every Thursday from 3:45-5pm (15 in the series), with three exceptions: October 29, November 26, and December 10. The Carmel Mountain Community Youth Choir (CMCYC) is recommended for ages 8-14, though older teens are welcome (and encouraged) to join. Participants who are younger than 8 must be accompanied by an adult at all times and should be mature enough to focus, follow directions, and memorize song lyrics.
The purpose of these rehearsals is to prepare for the library's Winter Holiday Concert which will be held on December 19th, from 2:00-4:30pm. This event will be recorded, so a model release form will be required for participation in the actual concert. A live audience will be present at that time, but the performance format will be similar to the taping of a TV show.
This opportunity is perfect for absolute beginners or those who are interested in developing their singing skills and gaining confidence. Past members have noted that learning to work as a team is one of the most valuable aspects of this unique program. For those headed into show business, this is a great way to get some experience... and it costs absolutely nothing!
