Join us for another iNaturalist Bioblitz. Let’s find and ID all the cool local wildlife together!
Get ready to explore the wild side of San Diego in person. This fun, hands-on event is all about spotting and sharing local nature using the iNaturalist app. Whether you’re a newbie or a nature pro, come connect with fellow enthusiasts, learn cool ID tips, and help document the amazing biodiversity around us. Bring your curiosity, your phone, and your love for the outdoors.
I recommend you download the iNaturalist app and make an account beforehand, but it's fine to wait until the event. We'll be able to assist you if you have any trouble. Also, if you're into birds, I recommend you download the Merlin app so you can identify birds by their sound (although this is also possible on iNaturalist, which we'll see). And if you're really into wildlife apps, here are a few more I recommend: Seek by iNaturalist, eBird, BirdNET. All apps are free.
