Join park rangers at 8 a.m. for a peaceful early morning walk through the beautiful 90-acre El Monte County Park. We’ll identify the birds we encounter and visit the park’s animal ambassadors—including hawks, owls, and a kestrel!

Note: Please use the staging lot located just before the park entrance on the left side of the road. It opens at 8 a.m. Look for the big yellow gates and the “El Monte Staging Lot” sign. Rangers will be there to gather everyone for the bird walk. From the staging lot, we’ll use the crosswalk to enter the back of the park before the front gates officially open at 9:30 a.m.
