About The Event

Category: Music

Join the Greater San Diego Music Coterie for an afternoon of magical storytelling on Sunday, September 27 at 2:30pm at All Saints' Episcopal Church in Hillcrest (6th and Penn Aves).

Featuring the Greater San Diego Chamber Orchestra directed by Dr. Angela Yeung, the performance includes two classical masterpieces that bring magical and imaginative tales to life.. The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, a tone poem by Paul Dukas, has become one of the most magical tales since its iconic appearance in Disney's first Fantasia. The incidental music Peer Gynt by Edward Grieg is a musical drama rooted in Norwegian folklore, fairy tales, and troll mythology. The music, combined with the narration, will transform the afternoon into pure magic.
